Conceptual models provide an at-a-glance visualization of a system’s major components along with some indication of how these elements work together as a whole. While not as detailed as an information architecture, the conceptual model allows for a macro-level comparison of similarities and differences across an ecosystem.
Over the years I’ve collaborated with an impressive UX/information architect and shaped models into stunning visuals for many sites, applications and companies.
